Recently our daily life has changed, we as the volunteers of Georgia Red Cross have to fight against the virus together, being on the front line during this pandemic. This Global Challenge pushed me to start volunteering. I wanted to put my efforts and responsibility to support our country during this difficult time with all my heart. I have been wearing Red Cross uniform with pride for just 7 months and try to do my best being involved in all activities. Right now I am providing assistance in food and hygiene parcels distribution. Before, I was involved in supermarket campaign and now, as well, I am an active participant of “Young Volunteer” project. Red Cross became my second home in this short time, here I have made not only new friends, but also have gained very important experience. I have learned how to deal with stressful situations and First Aid, which I think is very important. Here I have seen that with you effort and care can bring light to someone’s eyes and smile on someone’s face, so I urge you to be attentive and do not hesitate to lend someone a helping hand, especially in this situation. Today someone may need your help and tomorrow you may need it in term.
