Covid-19 pandemic has negatively affected the existing blood storage in Georgia. However, the Georgia Red Cross Society continues to organize a blood donation campaign - “Be a hero, Save a life.” On October 3rd, 2020, with the help of the Georgian Guides Association (NEWKAZ), the GRCS staff and volunteers held a blood donation day at a blood bank of Jo Ann Medical Center. Notably, the GRCS has been working in tight collaboration with NEWKAZ since 2017.
The Georgia Red Cross Society thanks its staff and volunteers, as well as the Georgian Guides Associaton for taking part in the campaign.
